Heavenly Creatures was a film by Peter Jackson in 1994. The film is a true story about two girls who are extremely imaginative and live in a world made up of their adventure stories and their own religion and their obsessions with each other. The relationship between the two girls, played by Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey, is frightfully consuming of their every bit of energy and zest for life. They are inseprable and eventually disilluisoned by their fears of losing each other. The performance by these two actresses is astonishing.
